Now .. our terrific work with Kendra Strudwick revealed that
the drivers that influence this movement between THREAT and REWARD brain zones can be labelled S-H-A-P-E meaning:
S for Status
H for Having Choice
A for Affiliation
P for Predictability
E for Equity
So.. when the coachee is locked in THREAT zone, generally, one or more of these drivers is at play..
And then.. the trick is to “get the story on the table“ so that these SHAPE settings can be adjusted.. by the coachee.. to enable movement into the REWARD zone..
And we all ask.. HOW ??
