"LIFT OFF": A GREAT INITIATIVE BY LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROFESSIONALS (LG PRO) HERE IN WESTERN
Well, LIFT OFF 2017 launched last Friday.. ...and what a terrific initiative from LG PRO, led by Chief Executive Officer, Warren Pearce, and supported by a team of committed folk, including consultant Anne Banks- McAllister, and my good self.
LIFT OFF provides the opportunity for younger professionals within the local government sector in WA to be mentored by more experienced industry leaders, over a six month period.
Participants are a diverse mix of male/female, and metropolitan / regional officers.
Anne led a training session for mentors so that the scene was set for rich conversations to ensue over the program. Following that, participants were briefed on the details of the program, and initial conversations unfolded.
The day was completed by WA LG PRO President, Jonathan Throssell, Chief Executive Officer at Shire of Mundaring, presenting certificates to participants and mentors from 2016, and…. launching the LIFT OFF Alumni...
